    Is This Training for You?

I created this certification for professionals who work with — or would like to work with — pregnant women and families.

#1 Do you work with pregnancy?

Whether you're a doula, midwife, yoga teacher, maternity nurse, bodyworker, perinatal educator, lactation consultant, physiotherapist, psychologist, or social worker, this training is for you.

#2 Are you willing to question and rethink?

If you're open to rethinking motherhood and integrating solid, respectful, and transformative tools to support pregnancy — from fertility through to birth — then this space is for you.

#3 Do you want to learn?

This edition has been completely redesigned. I've held nothing back: all of my knowledge and years of experience are included here. If you're looking to enrich your practice with innovative resources and practical tools, I'd love to welcome you.

    What Will You Learn?

    • How to support pregnancy through an integrated approach that considers body, mind, emotions, and environment.
    • Pregnancy anatomy and physiology, month by month.
    • Body-based techniques, exercises, postures, and movements for each trimester.
    • How to relieve common discomforts through movement and wellbeing practices.
    • An introduction to herbal medicine and healthy nutrition for every stage.
    • Birth preparation tools for both vaginal birth and caesarean birth.
    • How to create a birth plan.
    • How to work with partners through massage, positioning, and breathing techniques.
    • Understanding a baby's first days and what parents need to know.
    • An introduction to breastfeeding.
    • How to design and facilitate classes, workshops, or one-to-one support sessions.

    What's Included?

A live class every Saturday (2 hours, recorded and available afterwards).
Access to an online platform with videos, PDFs, templates, and additional resources.
Workbooks, real-life case studies for discussion, and assignments for each module.
Final assessment (written and oral) and certificate of completion.

What Do You Need to Enrol?

    • Availability to attend the live classes on Saturdays at 2:00 pm Geneva time.
    • Internet access via a computer, phone, or tablet.
    • Commitment, openness, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and share within an international group.
    • A desire to question established ideas and explore fertility, pregnancy, and birth in greater depth.
    • You do not need to be a yoga teacher or healthcare professional.
    • No previous experience is required, although a background in bodywork, health, education, or support work will be very helpful.
    Perinatal Educator

    Sol Alonso

As a perinatal educator and trainer, my mission is to share deep, up-to-date, and sensitive tools that enrich both your professional practice and the way you support others.

Since 2009, I have had the privilege of training more than 2,500 people across Argentina, Spain, and Switzerland, and since 2018 I have also taught online. Today, students from more than seven countries are part of this international community of birth and pregnancy professionals.

In both my online and in-person trainings, I create honest, welcoming, and well-supported learning environments where evidence-based information meets embodied practice.

This programme returns completely renewed, with updated theoretical content, new resources, and, above all, body-based practices that invite you to integrate what you learn through experience, not only through theory.

Inside The Mamifera Lab, you'll find far more than educational content. You'll find a network, a shared language, and a way of supporting others with respect, awareness, and presence.

Thank you for being here. And thank you for choosing to support families with care and compassion.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I enrol if I'm not a doula, midwife, or healthcare professional?

Yes. This training is designed for people from a wide range of backgrounds, including doulas, healthcare professionals, educators, bodyworkers, support practitioners, people working with families, and those who wish to share from their own experience of motherhood.

You'll receive clear, practical tools to support others from your own professional or personal perspective, with confidence and integrity.

Do I need previous experience with pregnancy or birth?

No. Previous experience is not required, but genuine interest and commitment to the learning process are essential.

We begin with accessible foundations and gradually move into deeper theoretical, embodied, and experiential learning.

What if I can't attend every live class?

All classes are recorded and can be watched later through the online platform.

To receive your certificate, you will need either 85% live attendance or to watch the recordings and complete the corresponding assignments.

    How long is the training?

The training includes 11 core weekly sessions.

Session 12 is a dedicated consultation and revision class, and Session 13 is the final group assessment.

If you prefer to sit the assessment at a later date, this is also possible. In this case, the assessment is conducted individually at a mutually agreed time and carries an additional fee of €150.

    Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the training, attendance requirements, and assessments, you will receive a certificate of completion.

    Are there assessments?

Yes. There is a final integrative assessment combining both theoretical and practical components.

It is designed as an opportunity to consolidate, organise, and apply your learning rather than as a traditional examination.

    What payment options are available?

We offer a discounted one-time payment during August, as well as the option to pay in four monthly instalments.

How long do I have to enrol?

Registration generally remains open until a few days before the start date or until all places are filled.

We recommend reserving your place early, particularly if you'd like to benefit from early enrolment discounts or bonuses.

What is included in the training?

    • Weekly live classes
    • Access to class recordings
    • Updated theoretical materials
    • Guided body-based practices
    • Resources for your professional work (checklists, templates, and guides)
    • Community space and group mentoring

How much time does it require each week?

Approximately four hours per week, including classes, reading, and personal practice.

The training has been designed for people who are also working, parenting, or caring for others.

    Are there any in-person activities?

    The training is entirely online.

If optional in-person gatherings or retreats are organised in the future, they will be announced separately.

Can I join from any country?

Yes. We are an international community, and students from more than seven countries have already completed the programme.
